What GATE Exam is?

GATE is the acronym of the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering. The GATE Exam is conducted every year by one of the IITs in the month of February.

Why GATE Exam?

If a Mechanical Graduate Engineer wants to get admission into the prestigious Indian Institute of Technologies, National Institute of Technologies (NITs), IIITs, and other CFTIs for the postgraduate programs the GATE qualification is mandatory. There are also many other institutes that consider the GATE score for admission. If you want to get recruited by the famous Public Sector Undertaking (PSUs) like NTPC, BHEL, ONGC, SAIL, GAIL, HPCL, BPCL, the GATE qualification is very much required.

Note: The GATE Scorecard remains valid for the next 3 years, once you qualify for the Exam.
