UN Report: Over 821 million people suffering from hunger
A UN report has said, more than 821 million people suffered from hunger worldwide last year.
It is the 3rd year in a row that the number has risen.
The report named, The State of Food Security and Nutrition in the World’, produced by the UN Food and Agriculture Organization and other UN agencies, including the WHO, was released.
India will host ISSF World Cup 2020
International Shooting Sport Federation approved India’s application to host the ISSF World Cup stages.
The World Cup will be held in New Delhi from March 15 to March 26, 2020.
The last edition of ISSF World Cup was held in Munich, Germany.

1971 war hero Lt Gen Gharaya passed away
Retired Lt Gen Joginder Singh Gharaya, who was awarded the Maha Vir Chakra in the 1971 Indo- Pak war and Kirti Chakra in the 1947 Hyderabad operations, passed away.
IFFI’s Golden Jubilee Edition to be celebrated in Goa
The Golden Jubilee Edition of International Film Festival of India will be held from 20th Nov till 28th November 2019 in Panaji, Goa.
President of Oscar Academy John Bailey and other eminent cinematographers and producers have been invited for the event.

India bags 2 Gold medals at ISSF Junior World Cup
India bagged two Gold medals in the Women’s 10- meter Air Rifle event at the International Shooting Sport Federation Junior World Cup in Suhl, Germany.
In the Individual section of the category, Elavenil Valarivan claimed the top honors with a total score of 251.6. India also clinched a Gold in the team section by creating a junior world record.
Computer genius Fernando Corbato passes away
American computer scientist Fernando Corbato passed away.
He worked in the 1960s on Computer Time-Sharing System which allowed multiple users in different locations to access a single computer simultaneously through telephone lines which paved the way for the personal computer and the computer passwords.
RBI fines Union Bank, SBI for flouting norms
These banks were fined for violating regulatory norms.
- SBI was fined 7 crores.

1st international flight from Indore leaves for Dubai
In Madhya Pradesh, the first international flight from Devi Ahilya Bai Holkar International Airport of Indore left for Dubai
